2010 Spring Trip Final Payment Deadline, 2/19 - $100.00

The DeSoto Band Program will be traveling to South Padre Island, TX to perform at the Gulf Coast Showcase Music Festival, April 22-24, 2010.  Anyone not returning this form, with $350.00, will not be registered for the trip. 

Students with outstanding fees or past due student account balances will not be allowed to register for the trip; this is a school-wide policy.

Payment can be dropped in the booster lock box located in the music library.  Envelopes are provided and instructions are posted on the box.  Please seal the envelope and write the student's name on the outside of the envelope and p[urpose of the payment.


Cowboys Stadium Concessions needs volunteers for the events on 2/20, 2/27, 3/13 & 3/20.

All-Region Middle School Results, November 13-14, 2009:
The following DeSoto Middle School Band members made a great showing at All-Region auditions, and will participate in the All-Region clinic and concert in January 2010:

McCowan Middle School: Taylor Bailey - Flute, Tristan Brooks - Bass Clarinet
West Middle School:  Charlisa Burkhalter - Trombone, Wesley Runnels - Clarinet

Congratulations!  Way to keep our proud tradition alive and strong at the Middle School level.


CONGRATULATIONS DESOTO EAGLE BAND!!!
For earning a Superior rating across all areas of performance at the UIL Marching Competion held at Duncanville on October 17, 2009.  This is the 41st consecutive year that the Eagle Band has won Sweepstakes making it part of an elite group of bands in the state to attain this level of continued success and excellence.  We are proud of the dedication and hard work of our students and staff.
